Independent Slitters Limited operates an Integrated Management System for activities relating to Quality, Environment, Safety & Health. (QuEnSH)

The environmental aspects of the system have been developed in line with the requirements of the international standard EN ISO 14001 and are applicable internally, but also provide a framework assisting others, such as suppliers and customers in protecting the environment, minimizing waste and reducing pollution.

The system ensures ongoing compliance with all applicable legislation and provides for the setting of objectives and targets in respect of environmental performance, together with scheduled reviews to monitor achievements.

The system is linked to the company’s corrective & preventive action procedure that aims to move the business forward on a continual improvement path and has the full support and commitment of the senior management of the organisation.
