Our History

Independent Slitters Limited was founded in 1990 to service a niche market, providing “free issue” coil slitting for the steel stockholding industry.

The company is presently a private limited company, wholly owned by

Daniel Wharrad, (Managing director).

Since Daniel’s acquisition of the business there has been a significant and sustained investment, installing new lines to provide a more flexible range of services with greatly reduced lead times.
